The current GoodBarber “Forgot Password” process sends the user an automatically generated temporary password by email.
The email recommends changing this password after login, but the user must manually navigate to Profile > Settings > Change Password to do so.
It would be very useful to improve this flow by offering one or more of the following options:
Send a secure password-reset link allowing the user to choose a new password directly.
Automatically redirect the user to the Change Password screen after logging in with a temporary password.
Allow app owners to add a direct internal link or deep link to the Change Password screen.
Optionally require the temporary password to be changed before the user can continue using the app.
This would provide a much clearer and more secure user experience, particularly for professional applications with large numbers of users.
Ideally, GoodBarber could also allow customization of the password-reset email so app owners can provide clearer instructions to their users.
