Recover failed payments: show in-app billing alerts during Google Play grace period (BillingClient.showInAppMessages)

Anyone running Goodbarber on the subscription model needs this! This is a huge bug that is costing the App owner a lot of money we have lost over $12,000 just in one year! (Android) When a subscriber's card declines on a renewal, Google Play puts the subscription into a grace period, but the app shows nothing. The only recovery touchpoint is Google's generic email, which most users ignore. The subscription then silently lapses, and we lose a paying customer who never intended to cancel. Google provides an official solution for exactly this: BillingClient.showInAppMessages. When implemented, the app shows a snackbar during the grace period ("There's a payment issue, tap to fix it") and the user can update their card without leaving the app. If they fix it, Google restores the subscription instantly. For every GoodBarber app selling subscriptions, this is pure recovered revenue: involuntary churn from card declines is typically 20-40% of all churn. One small billing integration would benefit every subscription-based app on the platform. Reference: https://developer.android.com/google/play/billing/subscripti… Simple terms: Imagine you have a lemonade stand and your friend pays you every month with a magic card. One month, the magic card stops working. Maybe it got old, maybe it expired. Your friend doesn't know it broke!Right now, nobody tells your friend inside the app. Only Google sends a boring letter that goes in the junk pile. So your friend keeps drinking lemonade for a few days... and then one day, poof, no more lemonade. Your friend is sad and confused, and you lost a customer who never wanted to leave. The fix I asked GoodBarber for: put a little note right inside the app that says "Hey! Your card has a boo-boo. Tap here to fix it." Friend taps, card gets fixed in 10 seconds, lemonade keeps flowing, you keep getting paid. That's the whole request: tell people their card broke, so they can fix it. Right now nobody tells them, and we lose money for no reason.
