Sleep timer for podcast!
My users are getting in touch, and many are requesting a sleep timer feature that would stop the podcast from playing automatically after a duration they set themselves.

Agree, we need a sleep timer feature in the podcast section.

This feature has become essential for music or podcast audio players, and it is offered by major competing app builders, so GB must offer it too please!

Oh yes, GB should make this feature available not only for live/radio broadcasts (with the Live + extension), but also for podcasts! Listeners in bed or relaxing have this need, and podcast players from Apple, Google, Spotify, etc. all have the sleep timer feature, so GB should make it available too, even if it's in a paid extension (like Live +). Thanks.

Hi Markus, This is live. Your sound section can now run a Podcast player instead of the Music player, and one of the three controls it brings is exactly what your users asked for: a timer that stops playback on its own. The menu offers 5, 10, 15, 30 and 45 minutes, 1 hour, and an "End of episode" entry for listeners who would rather not be cut off a minute before the end. Once it is armed, the countdown shows under the icon, and it stays armed when your listener changes episode or moves around the app. You will find it in your section design, on the detail screen: Modify the design, then Sound page. Switch the Player block to Podcast player and Sleep mode appears, with its switch and its icon colours. "Sleep mode" is the name on the back office side; your listeners open a menu titled Sleep timer. One thing to know before you switch it on: the sleep timer is a native feature, so it runs on your iOS and Android apps but not on the PWA. The two other controls the Podcast player brings, skip intervals and playback speed, work on all three outputs.
