That would be a great idea. Right now we have to do too many clicks to get the video.
Is there anything new? It's possible that this feature hasn't been developed in 2 years. Goodbarber is fantastic but it should implement some features that we ask for not so much for us but for the user experience. Thank you very much
Agreed. My project has a bunch of YouTube videos that would be nice if they could just play from within the app. When people are forced out to a new window it makes it difficult for them to get back to the app. My app is called Sangkem. Hope that Goodbarber's team will look into this as on the pwa and ios apps the videos play happily from within the app. You would think that this setting should be the same on all the 3 platforms. Hi everyone, and thanks a lot for your patience and your votes! We've just changed the default behavior on this. To give some context: routing embedded videos to the external browser wasn't an oversight — it was a deliberate choice. On older Android versions, in-app playback of iframe videos was unreliable (missing sound or image depending on the OS version, the manufacturer, the WebView version, etc.), so opening them in the browser was the only way to guarantee they played for everyone. Android has improved a lot since version 10, so we now play embedded (iframe) videos directly in-app for all video providers, on the page where they're displayed — fullscreen included — by default on Android 10 and above. This also aligns Android with the behavior you already had on iOS and PWA. Just make sure your app is on the latest version, and let us know how it works for you!
